Refunds and cancellation

How billing works
Typist Pro is $4.99 per month. Stripe charges the card when you subscribe and on the same day each month after that, until you cancel. The price shown in Stripe's checkout is the one that applies.
Before subscribing you can use the Free plan, which allows 300 words a day and 3 synced snippets, for as long as you like.
Cancelling
Cancel from the account row at the bottom of the Typist side panel, which opens the Stripe billing portal. Cancelling stops future charges.
After you cancel, Pro access [PLACEHOLDER: Choose one — continues until the end of the period already paid for / ends immediately]. When Pro ends the account returns to the Free plan: 300 words a day, and snippets beyond the free limit [PLACEHOLDER: State what happens to snippets over the free limit on downgrade].
Refunds
If Typist is not what you expected, write to hamptonyeh@gmail.com within [PLACEHOLDER: Refund window, e.g. 14 days] of a charge, from the email address on the account, and we will refund [PLACEHOLDER: What is refunded — the full charge / a pro-rated amount].
Outside that window, refunds are [PLACEHOLDER: Policy outside the window, e.g. at our discretion / not offered]. We aim to reply within [PLACEHOLDER: Response time, e.g. 3 business days]. Approved refunds are returned by Stripe to the original payment method, and usually take 5–10 days to appear depending on your bank.
If the service is broken and we cannot fix it for you, tell us — we will refund the affected period whether or not the window above has passed.
Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries it. If it keeps failing the subscription ends and the account returns to the Free plan. You can subscribe again at any time.
Your statutory rights
Nothing here removes rights you have under the consumer law where you live. Buyers in [PLACEHOLDER: List jurisdictions with statutory cancellation rights you must honour, e.g. the EU/UK 14-day right of withdrawal] keep those rights in full.
